Mick & Sharon's Western Vacation

October 4 - 11, 2003

We flew into San Jose Saturday morning, got our bikes at Rebekah and Wayne's, then spent the day in San Francisco. Sunday we drove up the coast, riding some trails in Sausalito, lunching in Bodega Bay, before going inland to Hilltop House. We spent two beautiful days there with Rebekah and Wayne, visiting Mondavi, V .Sattui, and Ravenswood wineries. Then it was on to Carson City to visit Suzanne and Chuck, enjoy some wonderful meals, and ride the Flume Trail. On our way back to California, we visited the Blue Lakes and had a great ride on the trails in that area. We arrived in Monterey, and spent a wonderful morning riding its 17 Mile Road, and after a leisurely breakfast we visted the Monterey Aquarium with its great jellyfish exhibit. Finally we returned to Fremont for an evening, and visited the Marc Chagall exhibit at the SF Museum of Modern Art before flying home. Here are a few of the over 300 pictures we took.
